Services for Allie McKnight of Longview, will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 2, 2006, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness, 1206 Jenney, Longview. Burial will be in Grable Cemetery.

ALLIE MCKNIGHT was born January 25, 1926, to the late Jonas and Lizzie Tims in Magnolia, AR. She attended and graduated from high school in Magnolia. She married J. W. McKnight and to this union six children were born. Two sons preceded her in death, Walter McKnight and Ellis "Pete" McKnight.

Our Parents moved to Longview to get better medical care for one of their children. Allie worked two jobs, Good Shepherd Medical Center and sitting with patients. During this time she maintained a fulltime job and a part-time job while she cared for a sick son and a sick husband. This is the kind of love she expressed for her family. She not only loved her family but she gave the same kind of love and care to her patients. We did not need to look outside our household for a role model. She showed her love everyday.

She leaves to cherish her memory four daughters and two son-in-laws: Geraldine Taylor (Roy) of St. Louis, MO; Liz McCarty (Herbert) of Longview, TX; Dora "Linda" Garrett of Longview, TX and Janice McKnight of Dallas, TX; fourteen grandchildren: April, Corey, Tonya, Renee, Floyd, Bernard, Brian, Marcus, Adrian, Ashley, Kristin, DeOshay, Justin and Tamara; twenty-one great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of friends.
