Annie Mae Holland's Obituary
Service will be held Friday, December 16, 2011 at 11 a.m. from the Galilee B.C. - Hallsville, Texas with Rev. Lamar Jones Officiating, burial Grable Cemetery Longview.
Annie Mae Bradley Holland was born September 25, 1930, in Hallsville, Texas to the parentage of the late Willie and Cora Lee Bradley. She was the eldest of thirteen children.
She attended the Hallsville Public Schools of Harrison County and graduated with honors. She accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and was baptized at Galilee Baptist Church, Hallsville, Texas. She also attended Pleasant Green Baptist Church, Longview Texas for many years, and the Living Bread Baptist Church, Lancaster, Texas during her stay in the Dallas area.
On September 3, 1954, she united in marriage to Clarence Henry Holland, and they were married for 43 years until his death in 1998. This union blessed them with two daughters, Deborah and Vicki.
She was employed by Good Shepherd Medical Center in the dietary department. She was promoted to supervisor where she served for 40 years until her retirement. She was such a part of GSMC that whenever she was there for services the dietary "family" would always come by to visit and talk about old times. She cherished those moments.
Annie Mae loved her entire family above and beyond. She always encouraged them to give "God your time", because she loved the Lord. She continued to stress to the family to stay close and "love and help one another". Education was paramount, along with a strict work ethic. Her life lessons will forever be a part of our lives.
On Friday, December 9, 2011 at age 81, she departed this life in order to move into her mansion, not made by man's hands. She leaves to cherish her memory: Daughters, Deborah (Gary) Naulls -Desoto, TX; Vicki (Michael) Rhodes-Lancaster, TX; Grandchildren, Holland and Nigel Naulls –Desoto, Jelexus Alexander and Jvanne Rhodes- Lancaster; Three brothers, Odell Bradley, Jessie (Linda) Bradley-Longview and George Bradley-Fort Worth TX; Three sisters, Ruby Mitchell, Eva Tolbert and Elizabeth (Willie) Miller- Longview and a large host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
