A Celebration of the life of Mrs. Bessie Pierce Malone Brown,86,of Longview,will be Noon Saturday,May 14,2011,at Lewis Chapel C.M.E. Church.Burial will be in Lewis Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Stanmore Funeral Home.Mrs. Brown passed away on Thursday morning,May 11,2011 after a brief illness.

Mrs. Brown was a member of NAACP,County and State Teachers Association,Texas College Alumni Association,and Gregg Country Retired Teachers of America.She taught high school English at both Mary C. Womack and Longview High School,before retiring after 36 years of service.

She was an active and faithful member of the Lewis Chapel C.M.E. Church,where she served in various organizations.Her love for her church was surpassed only by her love for the Lord and for her family.Her legacy will be as a foot soldier of God who lived her life completely for the sake of others.

Survivors include one son Clifton R.Pierce(Lynda);two grandsons,Clifton A. Pierce(Krista)and Broderick S. Pierce(Tanika);five great grandchildren;two sisters-in-law,Bernice Pierce and Lurlene Pierce;a very loyal cousin and friend,Ed Sirls;and a host of nieces,nephews,relatives and friends.
