Services for Betty Jean Powell-Tribble, 77, of Longview, will be noon Saturday, February 27, 2010, at the Red Oak Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. H.C. Rockmore Sr., Pastor with Bro. Danny Craig E. Craig Sr., officiating. Interment will be in Perry Clay Cemetery.

Sister Betty Jean Tribble was born to the late Louis, Sr. and Nehemiah Powell on July 16, 1932, in Gregg County, Longview, Texas.
She met and united in Holy Matrimony with Mr. Henry June Tribble on May 2, 1951 and to this union four children was born.
Sister Tribble was a very devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was employed with Buckner Westminster Place and was also a licensed Barber.
She united with Harris Chapel Church of Christ at an early age. Several years later, she united with the Rollins Addition Church of Christ and remained a faithful member until her demise.
She departed this life on February 24, 2010 at Good Shepherd Medical Center after a sudden illness.
One son, Dwight Henry Tribble and five brothers, Pat Powell, Harold Powell, H.S. Powell, Prentiss Powell, Louis Powell Jr. and two sisters, Juanita Ford and Rosilean Newman preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory three loving children, Alford Tribble Sr. (Diane) of DeSoto, Texas, Bobbie Tribble, Mark Eric Tribble Sr. of Longview, Texas; grandchildren, Shamekia Bonner of Tyler, Texas, Mark Eric Tribble Jr., Erica Hilburn, Eureka Tribble, Ashton Tribble all of Longview, Texas, Kendrick Carson, Alford Tribble Jr. of DeSoto, Texas; great-grandchildren, Ealiyah Hilburn, DeQuaylon Hilburn, D'Kirian Allen, D'Khaylin Allen all of Longview, Texas, DaKota Bonner, Payton Bonner of Tyler, Texas; sister-in-law, Loretta Powell of Longview, Texas; special daughter, Elaine Brown of Longview, Texas; special cousins, Roy and Erma Coleman of Longview, Texas; special friend, Augusta Sample of Dallas, Texas; several nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
