Billy Ray "Cocomo" Brightman was born September 3, 1947 to Irene Taylor and Liz Brightman. He attended Marshall schools. Billy's earthly walk ceased on Wednesday, November 23, 2011.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Irene Taylor; wife, Betty Brightman Marsh; brothers, Jessie Washington, Marvin Taylor and Archie Taylor; sister, Rosie Lee Brightman-Else.

Loving memories will be cherished by his sons, Billy Marsh (Key'ocea) and Curtis Marsha; daughter, Awanda Marsh; sisters, Bertha Taylor, Longview, Texas, Ruby Wilson, Marshall, Texas, Linda Taylor, JoAnn Taylor, LeKitha Stevenson all of Longview, Texas, Vivian Rhodes, LaPorte, Texas, and Kayretha Brightman of Seattle, Washington; brothers, Carl Flamer, Marshall, Texas, Alexander Brooks, Marshall, Texas, Timothy (Ida) Taylor, Jefferson, Texas, Authur (Debra) Taylor, Dallas, Texas and Jessie Brightman, Marshall, Texas; a devoted friend, Teresa L.
