Services for Booker Dean Harris, of Longview, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 3, 2006, at Stanmore Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Fred Canida officiating. Bural will follow in Unioni Post Oak Park.

BOOKER DEAN HARRIS entered this life on October 27, 1954, the third son of Sergeant Booker T. and Mrs. Dorothy A. Harris in Fort Hood, Texas.

He is preceded in death by both of his parents and his older brother, Mr. Bill E. Harris.

Booker graduated from Longview High School, Class of '72 and attended Kilgore Junior College where he majored in Mechanics. After working at LeTourneau Plant for several years, Booker decided to see the world. He enlisted in the United States Army where he served his country traveling extensively throughout America and Korea. After his Military service, he lived in Los Angeles, California working for Douglas Aircraft as a class Mechanic before returning to Longview until his death.

Booker Dean leaves to mourn his departure 4 brothers: Mr. Cedric Eugene Harris and wife, Timi of Richmond, VA; Mr. Benjamin O. Harris of Atlanta, GA; Mr. Russell Harris and wife, Choise of San Antonio, TX; and Mr. Barry Horne of Longview, Texas; two sisters: Ms. Patricia Ann Harris and Ms. Alesia Delores Harris both of Atlanta, GA; 2 nieces: Kymberli and Brittany; 7 nephews: Nicholas, Blake, Phillip, Alex, Rhyes, Darrell and Javarie; 1 great-nephew, William Christopher; also uncles, aunts, and a host of other relatives and friends.
