Services for Brenda Mathis will be 11 a.m. Saturday, February 25, 2006, at Miracle Tabernacle Prayer and Praise Cathedral with Arch Bishop J.L. Lawson, Pastor officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery.

Mrs. Brenda Faye Mathis was born in Kilgore, Texas to the parentage of Richard Brown and T. Carrie Rossum.

She attended Kilgore Public Schools and graduated in 1979. She was employed by Kilgore Nursing Home in the health care field.

Mrs. Mathis united in Holy Matrimony to Minister Juan Mathis.

She was preceded in death by her father, son, Corey M. Reeves and two nephews. She departed this life on February 14, 2006.

She leaves to cherish her memory; her husband, Minister Juan Mathis of Kilgore, TX; children, Marvin Reeves, Byron Reeves and Xavier Bradley all of Longview, TX; her mother, T. Carrie Reeves; brothers, Elvis (Dorothy) Reeves, Lewis Ray (Patricia) Reeves, Richard Earl Reeves, Glen O. Reeves and Travis Williams all of Kilgore, TX; sister, Carolyn (Richard) Humphrey of Kilgore, TX, Carrie J. Reeves and Eleanor M. Reeves both of Longview, TX; two very special friends, Mrs. Nina M. Isabella and Mrs. Ada L. Mumphrey; numerous nephews and nieces; and a host of other relatives and friends.
