Funeral Service for Mrs. Christine Lewis, 100, of Longview, will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Galilee Baptist Church in Longview, Rev. J. B. Dunlap officiating. Burial will be in Jordan Valley Memorial Park.

Christine was born February 14, 1911 in Hallsville, Texas to Gertrude Brookins and George Johnson. The death angel called her from labor to her Heavenly home on June 14, 2011.

She attended Hallsville Public Schools and united with Galilee Baptist Church of Hallsville. She later united with Galilee Baptist Church of Longview where she was a faithful and willing member until her health failed.

She married Elmo Lewis and there were no children born to this union, however, they reared several nieces and nephews.

Christine was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister and brother.

She leaves to celebrate her home going a host of nieces, nephews, a step-grandson, other relatives and friends.
