Funeral Services for Mr. Claude "Man" Herndon will be Monday, December 26, 2005 at 1:00 p.m., Mt. Rose Baptist Church in Troup, Texas. Burial, Rucker Cemetery, Troup. Rev. J. Session, Pastor and Elder Samuel Jones, Eulogist.

MR. CLAUDE (MAN) HERNDON was born March 19, 1911 to the late William and Corria Herndon. He grew up in Troup, Texas and also attended school in Troup. He received Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Rose Baptist Church.

On December 22, 2005, God saw the need to call him home to rest.

Claude was married to the late Kathleen Herndon and two children were born to this union. Later, he married the late Ethel Herndon and six children were born to this union. One son, James Edward Herndon and one daughter, Mary Farrier also preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his love and memories two daughters, Lorine Patton of Fairfield, CA and Ann Rugley of Longview, TX; four sons, Lonell Herndon of Troup, TX, Claudell Herndon and wife Pat of Tyler, TX, Larry Herndon and wife Kathy, and David Herndon and wife Della both of Troup, TX; 27 Grandchildren; 32 Great-Grandchildren; 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
