Funeral Service for Rev. Clayton Earl Nesbitt, 60,of Marshall,Texas will be 3 p.m.,Saturday, December 15,2012 at Hayward Funeral Chapel in Marshall,Texas.

Mr.Clayton Earl Nesbitt,60,passed away on Wednesday,December 12,2012.He was born on April 10,1952 in Marshall,Texas to the parentage of Herman and Bertha Nesbitt.His parents preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years,Wealthy;three daughters: Calandra Reynolds,Wealthy(Kevin)Nesbitt Whaley,and Yasmin(Kervin) Nesbitt Williams; Five grandchildren: Quaylon Dixon,KeAndre Nesbitt,JaMaya Reynolds,YaShaune Nesbitt,and Kervin Williams; one great grandchild; Jaydlon Dixon and five sisters: Dorthy Bradley, Gloria(Robert) Dailey,Ola (Shady Sr.)Carter,Brenda(Albert)Green, and Ulonda(Ed)Brown.Six Brothers: Herman(Patricia)Nesbitt,Lorenzo Wilburn,Charles (Brenda)Nesbitt,Albert(Alice)Nesbitt,Claudell Nesbitt,Byron(Belinda)Nesbitt, and a host of nieces,newphews, and other relatives and friends.

Clayton attended Dogan Elementary School,H.B.Pemberton Jr.and Senior High.He graduated Wiley College in 1991 and Tri State Driving School in 1999.He also attended Brite Divinity School.He joined Red Oak United Methodist Church at an early age.He remained a faithful member until he was called into the ministry.

Clayton received his call to the ministry in 1984. He preached his first sermon on May 09,1984.He was the proud pastor of the following churches: Grimfield UMC,Sunny Grove UMC,Zion UMC,Cedar Grove UMC,Macedonia UMC,Johnson Chapel UMC,Brocks Chapel UMC, and served as associate pastor of St.James Baptist Church until his death.In his spare time he enjoyed mechanics,fishing,and playing with his grandchildren.
