On April 10,1944, Ella was born to Ola Mae and Clyde Wiley Sr. in Harrion County,Texas. She attended school at Galilee Hallsville.
She was an employee at Resistol Hats for 12 years. She retired from Stemco Inc. after 17 years of employment.
Ella joined Golden Hill Baptist Church at an early age. She later move to the Longview area where she became a member of Galilee Baptist Church of Longview. After moving back to Hallsville, she reunited with the Golden Hill Baptist Church and was a faithful member until her health no longer allowed her to attended services.
Ella departed this life on Friday,November 26,2010 at a local nursing facility.
She was preceded in death by her father,Clyde Wiley Sr. her brother, Bobby Wiley, and her sisters, Geraldine Mayor and Lucille Lewis.
She leaves to cherish her memories her son and daughter-in-law,Darron and Katrina; two granddaughters, Daydria and Daniell Nesbitt of DeSoto, Texas; her parents, Thaddeus and Ola Mae Maxey; her brother, Clyde Wiley Jr. (Sandra), Lee Wiley (Renee) both of Longview, Texas, Rufus Wiley (Pearlie), Garland Wiley, Lloyd Maxey (Jerelyn) all of Hallsville, Texas; sisters,Lena Woods of Dallas, Texas, Helen Davenport, Nelda Horton, Betty Hood (Bobby) all of Longview, Texas and Dianne Maxey-Jones (Royce) of Hallsville, Texas. Also left to cherish her memories is a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and loving friends.
