Funeral Sevice for Mr.Gaynor Dessie Petties 64,of Marshall,Texas will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday,February 12,2011 at the Greater Oak Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Proctor officiating.Burial will be at Pine Bluff Cemetery under the direction of Hayward Stanmore Funeral Home.

Mr.Gaynor Dessie Petties died Monday,January 31,2011 at Longview Regional Hospital in Longview,Texas.He was born in San Francisco, California January 20,1947 to the parentage of Lula Mae Gordon and the late Gaynor Langster Petties.

He was educated at Dunbar Elementary,H.B. Pemberton High School and attended College at San Francisco State.He served in the navy from 1964 to 1967 and was discharged with honors.He was the proud owner of Magic Hammer.

He leaves to cherish his memories three daughters;Gayla Petties,Jacqueline Cash and Shaundria Durden;One son Gaynor Smith;His mother Lula Mae Jackson; one brother Daily Jackson;seven grandchildren;five great grandchildren.
