Funeral services for Gloria Faye Moore will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, August 26, 2006, at Jerusalem Baptist Church in Longview. Pastor J. H. Creal Sr., officiating. Burial Perry Clay Cemetery.
GLORIA F. MOORE was born to the parentage of Mr. Adolphus Moore Sr. and Mrs. Katie L. Moore on February 17, 1940, in Longview, Texas.
She attended school in the Longview Independent School District. Gloria worked at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview and retired after 20 years of dedicated service. Being a "busy body", Gloria returned to the work force at Regional Hospital in Longview. When her health weakened, she resigned from Regional and relocated to Dallas, Texas.
While in Dallas, she united with Third Avenue Baptist Church, Pastor Michael D. Pryor, and was a faithful member. Later, she returned home and united with Jerusalem Baptist Church. She and her sister, Beverly London worshipped faithfully until Gloria answered the Master's call.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Robert Earl Moore, Carl E. Moore Sr., and Cecil Moore; sisters, Mary Jeanette Moore, Madge M. Moore and Jewell Moore Johnson; and grandsons, Adell Perry, Derrick Perry and Willie James Perry.
Gloria was a loving and devoted Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Sister. Her loving memories will be cherished by her Children: Marilyn A. Perry Davis (Wade), Edna M. Perry Kirvin (Jimmy), Bejoe Perry Colbert (David), Roy Moore Jr. (Brenda) and Undray D. Moore; 23 Grandchildren; 10 Great Grandchildren; Sisters: Beverly Moore London, Duann Moore and Terry S. Moore Skinner all of Longview, TX; Brothers: Adolphus Moore Jr. of Painesville, Ohio, Billy R. Moore of Banning, California and Harold G. Moore of Kilgore, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, church family and friends.
