Memorial Service for Mrs. Gwendolyn LaJoy Taylor Quinn will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 4,2010 At the Hayward Stanmore Funeral Chapel.

Mrs.Gwendolyn LaJoy Taylor Quinn was born in Marshall, Texas to Edgar and Lodene McCoy Taylor. She departed this life November 30, 2010.

At an early age she united with Miles Memorial C.M.E. Church, as an adult she united with The Church of Marshall where she served as church nurse and hospitality chairperson.

She was a 1964 graduate of H.B. Pemberton High School in Marshall,Texas. She received her nursing degree in 1966 from Douglas Nursing School of Jefferson, Texas.

Her life long dream was to serve others; she worked as a nurse in Harrison, Marion, and Gregg counties.

Her parents; two brothers Edgar G.Taylor, Bobby L.Rockmore; two sisters Dorthy Fields and Sadie Washington preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her life two Sons, Robert L (Patricia) Williams,Anthony (Shayla)Taylor of Marshall,Texas; Grandsons, Robert Williams II, Lamante Taibert, Marcus Williams, Brian Williams, Devon Williams, and Christopher Clyburn; Two granddaughters Christine Clyburn, Aiyana Taylor, Darling Christopher Bradford; One sister Cathryn (Leon)Braford; One Brother Reverend Homer C. (Jean)Rockmore, Sr. of Longview,Texas; A host of nieces,nephews,cousins,friends and life time friend and cousin, Kathy Collier Fitzgerald.
