Kellyville Community Center - Jefferson, Texas. Rev. Jessie Jones, Officiating. Burial Pyland Cemetery, Avinger, Texas.
Mr. J. C. Smith was born June 1, 1932 to the parentage of Mr. Fred Lee Smith and Jenny V. Smith. He received his education at Smithville School in Lassater, Texas.
J. C. united in marriage in 1950 to Sadie Ruth Harper and to that union 7 children were born.
Mr. Smith retired from International Paper Company of Jefferson, Texas.
Loving memories will be cherished by his children: James E. Smith "Jack" of Avinger, TX, Helen R. Smith Vance as "Sister" of Louisville, TX, James A. Smith as "Tink" of Texarkana, TX, Barbara A. Smith Gipson and Bertha M. Smith Ewing both of Dallas, TX, Robbie R. Smith of Avinger, TX, Rowland D. Smith of Texarkana, TX; one brother, Joshua B. Smith of Texarkana, TX; one sister, Monica Smith Willis of Texarkana, TX; 25 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; other family members and friends.
