Funeral Services for James Smith are being held Sat. March 4, 2006 at 2 p.m. from the St. Paul C.M.E. Church in Atlanta. Rev. C. S. Slade, Pastor and Arlistel Maixe, Eulogist. Burial, Pinecrest Cemetery.

MR. JAMES SMITH was born May 14, 1923 in Mississippi, then he moved to Chicago, Illinois with his parents, Beulah and Arelius Theodore Johnson.
He departed this life on February 24, 2006, as he heard a voice saying, "Ye who are heavy laden, come unto me and I will give you rest."
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Lula Mae Smith; 2 step-daughters, Billie Jo Sasser and LaJean Bailey both of Atlanta; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; 1 sister and brother-in-law, Mary and John Norman of Dalton, Illinois; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

James was preceded in death by one sister.
