Funeral services for Jeran "Jay" Scott, 19, of Karnack will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, 2007, at Hayward-Stanmore Funeral Home with the Rev. Rickey L.J. Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Haley Cemetery.

JERAN TRENARD "JAY" SCOTT was born to Debra S. Scott on August 17, 1987.

Jay attended Karnack High School and excelled in academics and athletics and graduated May 2005.

Friendship West Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas extended an invitation for salvation and Jay accepted by confessing Christ as his personal Lord and Saviour and participating in the symbolic act of water baptism.

The Bible teaches us that those who die in the Lord become absent from the body and are present with the Lord. Those left to celebrate Jay finding his eternal peace is his loving mother, Debra; his brothers, Tario of Kings Bay, Georgia, Tyron of Arlington, Texas and Trey of Denton, Texas; a son, Jayden; two nieces, Tyra and Tyler; 5 aunts and 4 uncles; and his special father, Arthur Yancy Sr.
