Funeral services for Johnnie L. "Mac" McDonald, 57, will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, 2005, at Collier's Chapel Baptist Church in Karnack with Bishop Ander Graham officiating. Burial will follow in Adams Cemetery under the direction of Hayward-Stanmore Funeral Home of Marshall. Mr. McDonald died Saturday, Nov. 18, 2006, at Good Shepherd Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 11, 1949, in Harrison County to Earl McDonald Sr. and Annie Ruth Fitzpatrick McDonald. He attended George Washington Carver and Beckham schools in Karnack, and served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Collier's Chapel Baptist Church and later joined Under the Light Ministries in Jefferson. He worked for 15 years for Maudlin Lumber Company in Jefferson. Mr. McDonald is survived by his wife, Carolyn McDonald; three daughters, Tracie Smith of Detroit, Mich., Ashley McDonald of Denton, and Carla McDonald of Dallas; his stepchildren, Marcel, Mary, Perry, Maces, Noah, Willie, and MyDee; sisters, Gwendolyn McDonald and Earlene McDonald, both of Dallas; a brother, Steve McDonald of Marshall; his stepmother, Easter McDonald; other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
