Services for Kevin Antron Alex will be noon Saturday, February 6, 2010, at Unity Tabernacle House of Faith in Kilgore, with Bishop Stanley Lawson officiating. Interment will be in Grable Cemetery in Kilgore.

KEVIN was born in Longview, Texas on January 7, 1968 to the parentage of Sammy D. Alex Sr. and Lou Ella Templeton Alex.

Kevin accepted Christ at an early age at Saint Mark Baptist Church under the pastoral leadership of the late Pastor Charles Wilburn. He was a faithful member and later became an honorary deacon. He later moved to Fredonia Baptist Church until he was led by the spirit to make his church home Unity Tabernacle House of Faith.

Kevin graduated from Longview High School in 1986 as a distinguished football player. He was united in Holy Matrimony to Tonia Yvette Ayers Alex on March 9, 1989 and to this union three children were born.

Kevin was preceded in death by his mother, Lou Ella Alex Templeton. He is survived by his wife, Tonia Alex; father, Sammy D. Alex Sr.; older brother, Sammy Dale Alex Jr. and special friend; two sons, Dexter Williams and Letroy Antwon Ayers; three daughters, LaToya Alex, April Alex, and Alexis Alex; four grandchildren; father-in-law, Leroy Ayers; mother-in-law, Avis Ayers and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends that he shared very special moments with.
