A Celebration of Life Mrs. Malinda L. Jones, Saturday, August 20, 2011 11:00 a.m. at the Red Oak Missionary Baptist Church 2717 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Longview, Texas with Pastor H.C. Rockmore Sr., Officiating.

MALINDA L. JONES was born June 13, 1923 in Henderson, Texas to the late Tucker Evans and Doshia Lee Evans. She departed this life Monday, August 15, 2011.

She attended Pinetop Elementary, and graduated from New London High. After graduation from high school Malinda attended Sweatt's Beauty School in Tyler, Texas. She worked as a licensed hair stylist and seamstress until 2008, when her health started to fail.

Malinda married Johnie J. Jones and four children were born to this blessed union.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnie J. Jones and their first born, Carolyn, who died in infancy; also, her four brothers and two sisters.

She leaves to cherish her memory three children, Evelyn J. Armstrong (Louis) of Arlington, TX, John J. Jones (Carolyn) of Longview and Cheryl Jones of Desoto, TX; her sister, Beatrice Page of Henderson, TX; eight grandchildren, Lahcen Armstrong (Connie) of Corpus Christi, TX, Stefan Armstrong (Regan) of Houston, TX, Braylon Wilcott of Hutto, TX, Sherise Webster (Daryl) of Arlington, TX, Lauren J. Lee (Kenneth) of Irving, TX, Sherman Wilcott of Austin, TX, John Calvin Wilcott of Arlington, TX and Nicole Jones of West Lafayette, IN; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
