Funeral services for Marcia Lynne Strong will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 26, 2010, at Hayward-Stanmore Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Glen Boyd, officiating. Burial will follow in Strong Cemetery in Kilgore.

Ms. Marcia Lynne Strong was born on July 8, 1956 to the Mercy Lee Strong and Clara Muriel Hildreth-Strong in Dallas, Texas.

She attended public School at North Chapel and graduated from Polytechnic in Fort Worth, Texas. She also attended Tarrant County College, and Kilgore Junior College. She enlisted in the United States Army in 1985 and was honorably discharged in 1987.

Marcia was passionate about education and received her Associates degree in computer programming from Texas State Technical College in Marshall, Texas, and attended East Texas Baptist University.

Marcia departed this life on June 8, 2010 at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Clara Strong and one nephew, Brandon Strong.

Marcia leaves to cherish her memories, a daughter Melissa Nicole Strong of Marshall, Texas; a brother, LeNorman James Strong (Bernice) of Berkley, California; a host of nieces, cousins, aunts, uncles and other loving family members and special friends.
