A Celebration of Life ceremony for Mr. Michael Harper, 51, will be on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at New Horizon Church in Ore City, Texas at 11 a.m.. Burial will be in Coffeeville Cemetery in Ore City, Texas.
Mike was born in Lone Star, Texas at Hospital in the Pines weighing only 1 lb. 13 oz. on June 1, 1961. He was baptized at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Ore City at a young age.
Mike graduated from Pittsburg High School. He worked at Lone Star Tubular for many years, and many other production jobs. He loved to fish and hunt, work on cars, lawn mowers, and anything else mechanical wise. Mike was a generous and kindhearted man that never met a stranger, whether he was broken down on the side of the road or needed a few extra baits to catch hat fish that kept slipping off of his hook. Mike had a big sweet tooth and loved his mother's cakes and pies.
Mike was preceded in death by his father, Ray Harper.
He leaves to cherish, his Mother Clydie Harper of Ore City, Texas; two loving sisters, Vickie Harper (Jerome) of Houston, Texas and Connie Harper Dixon (Bennie) of Tyler, Texas; and three loving Brothers Charlie Harper (Cynthia), Lorenzo Harper Jr., aunts Mary B. Stein, Dovie Abron,; and a host of other friends and relatives.
