Service for Cremella Fay King Allen will be held on Saturday, June 16th, at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church at 11 a.m. in Hallsville, Texas. Family hour will be on Friday, June 15th from 6-7 p.m. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Hallsville, Texas.
Cremella Allen was born December 18, 1919, in Hallsville, Texas, to Allie Geneva and Eugene King, Sr. She was known throughout the community and in her family as Mrs. Allen, Cremella, Ms. C, Aunt Cre and Momma. She was a lifetime member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She attended Cooperville School in Hallsville and Pemberton High School in Marshall,Texas.
Mrs. Allen later married David L. Allen, Jr. of Bryan, Texas and from this union had two daughters,
She is survived by her two daughters, Shirley Ford and Winifred Whittington (C.L.); two grandchildren, William Ford Jr. and Catherine Whittington; one brother Jobie King (Lula);two sisters, Clara Carter (Kerven) and Jocelyn Chatham; sisters in law, Johnnie Mae Allen, Hannelora King, and Pearlie King Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews and close friends.
