Service for Mrs. Essie Mary James,60, will be on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Galilee Baptist Church. Viewing will be on Friday, June 8th from 6-7 p.m. at Stanmore Funeral Home. Burial will be at Jordan Valley Memorial Park.

On September 5, 1970, Essie married the love of her life Don James in Marshall, Texas. To this union, three children were born: Darrell James (Tamesha) of Houston, Texas, Andrea James of Jacksonville, Texas and Cassandra Renee James of Longview Texas. She was preceded in death by her mother (Gertie Jones), Father (Orie Jones Sr.) and brother (J.D. Jones). Other than her Husband and children she is survived by three sisters and one brother: Gussie Durham (Phillip Shelton) Karnack, Texas, Diane Jones (Hoover C. Carroll) Dallas, Texas, Annie Jewel Broadnax (Robert) and a brother Orie Jones Jr. Her passing is also mourned by six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren as well as her many sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends and other relatives.
