Obituary

Services for Ollie Sanders will be noon Saturday, December 2, 2006, at Harris Chapel Church of Christ, with the Rev. Lewis Thompson Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Post Oak Union Cemetery.

Sister Ollie Robertson Sanders was born January 11, 1911 to Jenne Colbert Robertson and Howard Robertson in Rusk County. She attended Rusk County schools.
Ollie became a Christian early in life and was a member of Harris Chapel Church of Christ in Rusk County.
Ollie and Henry Sanders married in Holy Matrimony January 25, 1934. Mr. Sanders preceded her in death. Ollie and Henry lived in the Lakeport Community of Gregg County for a number of years. To this union three children were born: Ruby Steene Sanders Jones (deceased), Frank Henry Sanders and Maxine Sanders Smith. They reared a foster son, James Edward Sanders (deceased).
In 1967, Ollie and Henry moved to Hallsville, Texas. Sister Sanders attended Northside Church of Christ in Hallsville, Texas when she could not attend Harris Chapel Church.

Her memories will live on through her son, Frank Henry Sanders (Alice); her daughter, Maxine Smith; granddaughters, Michelle Hollins, Sandra Fitzpatrick, Shelia Matthews, Tonya Branch and April Hobbs; grandsons, Frank Henry Sanders Jr., Dutreal and Desmond Smith; great-granddaughters, Shamika Wolfe, Stephanie & Tracy Johnson, Marshinick Fuller, Tyree Earl & Desirae Hobbs; great-grandsons, Peter Hollins Jr., Terrance Earl, Darrian and Preston Sanders, Aaron and Denymh Smith, Michael and Justin Johnson; and twelve great great-grands.
