Services for Ora Mae Jones Smith will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 11, 2006, at Lake Providence Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jimmy Moore officiating. Burial will be in Lake Providence Cemetery.
ORA MAE JONES SMITH was born October 12, 1941 to the parents of Reverend Huey D. Jones, Sr. and Annie Mae Jones. She attended public school in Gilmer, Texas. She united with Lake Providence Baptist Church at an early age.
She leaves to cherish her memories four brothers, Reverend Huey C. Jones and wife Erece of Gilmer, Huey D. Jones, Jr. and wife Sophia of Killeen, Rev. Robert M. Jones and wife Carolyn of Longview, and James H. Jones of Gilmer; one sister, Maria A. Jones Henderson and husband Willie T. Sr., of Gilmer; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
