Obituary

Funeral service for Orion Peoples will be held Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. from the Jerusalem Baptist Church in Longview. Rev. Kevin Anthony, Officiating and Pastor J.H. Creal Sr., Eulogist. Burial in Jordan Valley Memorial Park.

Orion Marcell Peoples was born to Thomas Brown and Gwendolyn (Niecy) Peoples Beck on September 7, 1980 in Longview, Texas. He was affectionately called "O" by his family and close friends.

Orion received his formal education at Longview High School. He was currently pursuing his Bachelors Degree at Tiffin University. He was a skilled carpenter and worked as a contractor on many housing projects with Rev. J. H. Creal and framing crew.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Vera Mae Peoples; grandfathers Hollis Brown Jr. and Jethro Peoples; one brother, Carlos Bryan Peoples; great-uncles, Prentiss Brown, Hurie Brown, Robert Pierce and Claude Williams; and one great-aunt, Etta Mae Williams. Orion departed this life on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at approximately 11:15 P.M.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, JaBeverly and Onnestiey both of Longview, TX; father, Thomas Brown (Charlene) of Dallas, TX; mother, Gwendolyn (Niecy) Peoples Beck of Fort Worth, TX; grandmother, Josephine Brown of Longview, TX; brothers, DeMarcus Peoples (Candace) of New Orleans, LA, Thomas Brown II and Nikolos Brown, both of Dallas, TX; sister, Tanya Peoples of Kennedale, TX; aunts, Sandra Oliver, Charlotte Brown Sessions, Sensiria Brown, and Savannah Brown all of Longview, TX, Marilyn Brown Bell (Braden) of Rowlett, TX, Brenda Peoples of Tyler, TX, JoAnn Jones of Longview, TX, DeLois Jones of Lufkin, TX, Bobbe Williams of Pine Tree, TX; uncles, James Jones (Darlene), Robert Jones (Teresa) of San Bernardino, CA, David Jones of Lufkin, TX, Leonard Peoples (Shirley), and Sheddric Peoples of Las Vegas, NV; great-aunts, Flora Pierce, Mamie Manus, and Hazel Brown all of Longview, TX; great-uncle, William Brown of DeQueen, AR; one nephew, one niece, and a host of cousins and friends that he loved very much.
