Obituary

Services for Patrick D. Smith will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, May 27, 2006, Day of Redemption Christian Fellowship, 304 CR 409 in Gary, Texas. Pastor Joseph Smith, Officiating, interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Tenaha, Texas

Patrick Devonne Smith was born July 26, 1971, to the parents of Joseph I and Consuella Calloway Smith in Carthage, Texas. Patrick accepted Christ at an early age, he was a member of Evangelist Center C.O.G.I.C., St. Louis, Missouri until relocating to Texas.

He attended public schools in St. Louis, MO, and high school GED in McKinney Job Corp. Patrick attended Panola Community College, majoring in Computer Science and minor in Music. He was a dynamic drummer and began to play the drums at the age of two years. He played with many artists and was in the Panola College Band. He was faithful in his professional until his health failed.

Patrick leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Beverly Willie Smith; two daughters, Kayla and Trish both of Carthage; two step-daughters, Tatiana and Tiana of Carthage; one god-son, Devonne of St. Louis, MO; grandmother, Charlene Rivers of St. Louis, MO; sister, C. Rene' (NaNa) Haney; two nephews, J. Raheem and Dominic; three nieces, Dene', Maria and Simone all of Carthage; five uncles, James (Brenda) of Harker Heights, TX, Andrew (Vicky) of Byron, GA, Bryant (Gillian) of Scott A.F.B., IL; Gonzales (Aletha) of Indianapolis, IN, and C.L. of Garrison, TX; five aunts, Victoria of Palm Springs, CA, Marie (Leonard) of Nacogdoches, TX, Judy of St. Louis, MO, Frances of Carthage, TX and Blarn of DeBerry, TX; father and mother-in-law, Trospher Willie, Jr. and Beverly Willie; brother-in-law, Trospher Willie III; sister-in-law, Debbie Willie; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, J.M. and Sallie Bryant Calloway and Charlie and Birdie Thomas of Garrison, TX; grandfather, Andrew Rivers; uncles, Rollie and Masseo; and aunts, Zollie, Lori and Lizzie.
