A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at 1:00 P.M., SHADY GROVE BAPTIST CHURCH, Gary, Texas, Rev. Lymessia Ingram, Eulogist and burial Shady Grove Cemetery in Gary, Texas.

Mrs. Ray Lee Rudd was born to King Smith and Evangeline Smith on September 8, 1924 in Gary, Texas. She answered the death angel's call and departed this life Tuesday, August 23, 2011.

She attended New Salmen Public School. Mrs. Rudd was a housewife.

At an early age, Sis. Rudd joined church and attended Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, King Smith; mother, Evangeline Smith; husband, Linsey Rudd and son, Billy Rudd.

Loving family members who will mourn her passing are her children, Ethel Coker of Longview, Texas; Laverne Solone of Henderson, Texas; Lynn Gates (Martha) of Center, Texas; Herbert Lewis (Belinda) of Henderson, Texas; Louis Devereaux of Henderson, Texas; Katie Sue Williams of Pontiac, Michigan and Willie Rudd of South Carolina; one sister, Ruth Sanders; eight grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
