The Life of Ruby Lee Cato came to an end on December 07,2010,When the Lord chose to call one of his angels home.

Ruby Lee Cato,the son of the late John H.Cato and Beatrice Smith Cato,was born in the Canaan Community,On July 02,1928.On February 02,1962 Ruby Married Gwendolyn Wright Cato.This forty-five year union ended March 25,2006 after a lengthy illness,she precedes him death alone with five brothers and one son John Cato,Alvin Cato,Joseph Cato,Waymond Cato, Horbert Cato and son Derrick Emory.

Rudy was an active member of Canaan Baptist Church were he joined at an early age and served as a Deacon.His love for Christ and belief in his word was exemplified in his life.

Rudy attended Canaan Elementary School and was drafted into the United States Army were he served in the Korean War. He was a member of the Fifth Army Artillery Battalion and then transferred to Japan with the First Cavalry Division,were he received a "Purple Heart"

He leaves to cherish his memory;four daughters Marquis Williams of Little Rock,Ar;Freda Freeman of Mesquite,Texas;Lisa Cato of New,York,New York;Karen(Rick)Emory of Longview,Texas;two son Darryl(Sandra)Emory of Fresno,Texas;Craig Emory of Marshall,Texas;eight grandchildren Thaddiues(Cynthia)Emory of Fresno,Texas;Lucreita Williams of Little Rock,Ar;LaDarryl(Yolonda)Emory of Houston,Texas;Marquisha(Corey)Powell of Washington D.C.;Issac Emory of Hattiesburg,Ms;Jhavorry Emory, Elvis Smith of Marshall,Texas and Karen Freeman of Mesquite,Texas;twelve great grandchildren:Trevin,Portia,Christian,Jalen,Tena,LaDeja,Cameron,Jeremiah,Javain,Taylor,Caden and Aubrey.three sister;Louise Green of Moreno Valley,Ca;Doris Sumerlin,Gwendolyn Nowlin of Marshall,Texas;one brother Roy Cato of Marshall,Texas;one brother-in-law John D.Wright of Waco,Texas;one sister-in-law Lottie Wheeler of Little Rock,Ar;and a host of family and friends.
