A Celebration of Life ceremony for Mrs. Ruby Lee Floyd will be on Saturaday, October 20, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. A wake will be on Friday, October 19th at Stanmore Funeral Home from 6-7 p.m. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery in Harrison County.

Mrs. Ruby Lee Floyd was born in Bessie Mae, Texas on February 11, 1921 to the union of Mr. Thiley and Mrs. Mary King. She was one of ten children. She was a graduate of Washington High School and attended college.

Ruby was preceded in death by her companion of 63 years, Mr. Y.D. Floyd; both of her parents; and all of her brothers and sisters; Solon Brown, Robert Phifer, George Phifer, Maella Phifer, Wilson Phifer Jr., Robert King, Roberta King Davis, David King, and Mary Lestelle King.

Loving memories will be cherished by her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, extended family of Houston, Texas, Oklahoma, California, great-grandchildren, and many friends of Longview, Texas and the surrounding area.
