Sister Sally Thompson Dixon was born October 22,1947 in Jonesville,Texas in Harrison County to the late Bailey and Gussie Thompson.
At an early age, she professed her Lord and Savior. Mrs. Dixon united with Shiloh Baptist Church. She attended the Waskom Schools. She worked as a caregiver for numerous years. Mrs Sally T. Dixon departed this life on Monday,October 22,2012 at 4:54 p.m. at the Promise Healthcare facility in Shreveport,Louisiana.
She was the eldest of three, Fronteria Thompson and Sharron Thompson, and she was preceded in death by her son, LaShawn Dewayne Thompson. She also reared two others, Chassittie Walton and KeKe McCray.
She leaves to cherish her memory four brothers, Mr. M.C. Thompson(Ola), Mr. W.L. Thompson, Mr.Bailey(Mattie)Thompson, and Mr.Herman(Frances)Buford all of Marshall,Texas;five sisters,Ruby Dell High all of Marshall,Texas; Mrs. Onita Dillard of Scottsville,Texas; Lola Mae Spillman(John)of Waskom,Texas; Mrs. Delilah Edmond(Jessie)of Coppers Cove,Texas and Lucy(Danny)Johnson;four grandchildren, Kendrick May, KeAna May, JaMiya Thompson,and Taraji Thompson. Mrs. Sally had a special friend, Mr.Ennis Evans,Jr., of Scottsville,Texas; also a dearly special friend, Mrs.T'Merl Price, of Marshall,Texas and Leola McCray of Marshall,Texas and a numerous nieces and nephews,and other relatives and friends.
