Mrs.Bettye Jean Watson,daughter of the late William Watson and Thelma Brown,was born October 07,1948 in Marshall,Texas.
At an early age,she united with New Hope Baptist Church in Scottsville,Texas.While there she served on the Usher Board and assisted with the Food Committee.
She was employed at the Thiokol Plant in Karnack,Texas for twenty plus years until it closed down.Thereafter,she worked for Oakwood House Assistant Living Home for twelve years until her health began to fail.
Mrs.Watson departed this life on Thursday,February 03,2011 at the Beacon Hospice Margaret's House in Longview,Texas.Her mother Thelma Brown;Father,William Watson;sister,Josephine Gladney;brother,Robert Charles Ruffin and son,Carlton Ray Watson all preceded her in death.
She is survived by two loving sons,Cedric Watson of Longview,Texas and Cornilus Watson(Nathalia) of Kilgore,Texas;two loving and devoted sisters,Johnnie Jamerson and Patricia Gladney both of Shreveport,La;two loving brothers,Billy Brown of Georgia and Roland Gladney(Nyantha) of Shreveport,La; an aunt,Willie Mae Brown of Scottsville,Texas; an uncle,James Brown of Marshall,Texas;two special grandchildren,Cornilus Watson Jr. of Marshall,Texas and Sanyssa J.Watson of Longview,Texas;two special step-grandchildren, D-Land and Maria;nieces,nephews,and a host of other family members and friends.
