A Celebration of Life ceremony for T.J. Satterwhite, 86, of Longview,Texas will be on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Stanmore Funeral Chapel. Reverend Jimmy Nelson is officiating. Burial will be in Lilly Hill Cemetery in Hallsville, Texas.

Mr. T.J. Satterwhite was born July 10, 1926 the late Margie Lewis Satterwhite and Freeman Satterwhite.

He united with Lillie Hill Baptist Church at an early age. He received his education in Hallsville Schools. He was also a Mason member.

He met and married Mrs. Robert Lynn Coppage Raspberry, to this union no children were born, but they helped mold many lives. He was employed by the United Gas which is now Entex for several years until he retired. Later, he went to work for the City of Longview as a driver, and retired from there.

His wife of 60 years, Mrs. Robert Lynn Raspberry Satterwhite, step-son, Curtis Raspberry, his parents, Freeman Satterwhite and Margie Lewis Satterwhite, and one brother, James Otis Satterwhite, preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his niece/daughter, Edith Burton Wedgeworth of Longview, Texas; Linda J. Satterwhite Adams (Otis), of Oklahoma; Tiffany Wallace of Longview, Texas; Sedalia Long of Atlanta, Georgia; nephews, Roy H. Williams of Dallas, Texas; Derrick Satterwhite of Longview, Texas; grandchildren, Patrick Raspberry (Rita) of Longview; Chris Burton of Longview, Shatoria Raspberry of Longview; Great grandchildren, Padetrick Raspberry of Longview; Corbin Burton of Garland, Texas; and I'Zaylin Burton of Longview, Cousins, Carrie Roberts and Family of Dallas Texas; Bill Wright and Family of Greenville, Texas; all from the Bivins Addition Community, and a host of other friends and relatives. Also, a special thanks to Lora Turner, Linda K. Burton Forster and Family, and Andrew Snyder.
