Funeral Services for Mr. Owens will be held January 2, 2010 at
11a.m. from the St. John Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor Raymond Hawkins Sr., Officiating and burial Jordan Valley Memorial Park.

On December 25, 2009, our Heavenly Father called Toll Otis Owens Jr. (T.O.) from labor to reward. He was born to Mary Beatrice Hurd and Toll Otis Owens Sr. on May 8, 1935 in Woodlawn, Texas.

He was the eldest of 7 children. He attended school in the Longview Independent School system. He was married on October 30, 1955 to Lorene Osborne. Their union produced three children, Rev. Jerry Lee Owens Sr. of Longview, Rex Allen Owens of Austin, Texas and Annita Renee Owens of Denton, Texas.

T.O. worked for Eastman Chemical Company, Texas Operations for 28 years and retired. He was also a deacon at Saint John Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his mother, father, wife and children. He is also survived by his brothers and sister, Freddie Owens of Longview, Constance M. Hill of Fort Worth, Texas, Bobbye J. Collins of Mansfield, Texas, Elijah L. Owens of Longview, Irene D. Owens of Dallas, Texas and Dorothy R. Owens of Dallas, Texas. T.O. also leaves daughters-in-law Julie Owens of Longview and Debra Owens of Austin, Texas; two grandchildren, Jerry Lee Owens Jr. of Longview and Morgan Reva Owens of Austin, Texas along with many other relatives and friends who loved and cherished him.
