A Celebration of Life ceremony for Mrs. Vernell Dawson Wright, 80, will be on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at noon at Honey Grove Baptist Church in Atlanta, Texas. Reverend Brian Hampton will be officiating. Burial will be in the Shady Grove Cemetery in Atlanta, Texas.

Vernell Dawson Wright was born to the late Andrew D. Dawson and Lula Mae Jones Dawson in Atlanta, Texas.

She attended Beulah Schools and graduated from Queen City High School.

Later, she married Jearude Wright and from this union she had two sons, Jearude Wright, Jr. and Adolphus Wright.

Her Legacy: sisters: Wydas E. Dawson of Atlanta, Texas; Georgia L. Austin (Lewis), of Los Angeles, California; Verna J. Harper (Leslie) of Atlanta, Texas (both deceased; Nellie B. Williams (deceased) of Dallas, Texas. brothers:A.D. Dawson, Jr. (Barbara) of Chicago, Illinois; and Harold G. Dawson (deceased) of Dallas, Texas. She also leaves a host of friends, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Her special friends were Evalonia Barrett Bolton and Anita Cullins.
