Services for Wardell Deshun "Cowboy" Glaspie Sr. will be 11 a.m. Saturday, October 22, 2005, at Bethel Temple Church, with the Rev. Tony Clark Sr., the Rev. R. C. Bell, the Rev. Michael Glaspie, the Rev. H. C. Rockmore Sr., and the Rev. Paul Bradford officiating. Mr. Wardell Glaspie Sr. died October 15, 2005. Mr. Glaspie was born April 26, 1976, to Wardell and Earline Glaspie. He was a graduate of Longview High School, Class of 1994.

He is survived by two daughters, Keanu and Kaylee Glaspie; son, Wardell D. Glaspie Jr.; his parents, Wardell and Earline Glaspie; grandmothers, Elberta Harris and Inez Glaspie; three brothers, Reggie, Tavarus, and Kevin Glaspie; god-brother, Derek Madden; god-sister, Shenee Gardner; one nephew, Koryn Glaspie; two nieces, Peia and Peyton Glaspie; a special cousin, Ashley Charles; and mothers of his children, Tracie Webster and Rhonda Kay Hutchins. The family will receive friends 6-7 p.m. Friday, October 21, 2005, at Stanmore Funeral Home.
