Yolanda Detrice Gary was born January 24,1970 to Lenard and Dorothy Gary in San Diego,California.Yolanda's earthly journey ended Monday,December 06,2010 at Good Shepherd Medical Center.

Yolanda knew the Lord,she was baptized at the Church of Christ in San Diego,California.

In 2002,Yoland moved to Texas.She was a nature lover and enjoyed spending time outdoors.She loved to fish and would spend hours on a lake waiting patiently on that big catch.Yolanda was a great cook and would spend time in the kitchen and "create magic" in the meals she prepared.Everyone loved her cooking.She had a personality that would light up a room.She enjoyed spending time with her family.

Yolanda leaves to cheish her loving memories,her parents Lenard and Dorothy Gary;the love of her life,her fiance,Jackie Flowers;grandmother,Louvenia Boyd of Longview,Texas;three sisters,Jeanette (Mohamed) Tahssain of Houston,Texas,Evette (Brian)Glover of San Diego,Ca and Deshana Nelson of Topeka,Ks;one nephew,Leonard Tahssain;one niece,Fatima Tahssain both of Houston,Texas;two great-uncles and aunts,Buford(Dorothy)Halton of Texas and Frederick (Audrey)Halton of California;three great-aunts,Betsy Pice and Ina Flournoy of California and Eva Dixon of Arizona;six aunts,Linda(Jesse)Pearman,Joann(Herman)Davis,Mary Boyd,Lois Finley,Linda(Paul)Hill all of Texas,Felicia Blakley of California;six uncles,Alvin (Carolyn)Boyd,Donnie Johnson both of Texas,Shirly(Mary)Gary of California,Danny(Lizzie) Johnson of Oklahoma,Shawn(Dorothy)Blakley and Willie Hoskins Jr. both of Arizona;god-parents,Sterling(Lilly)Williams of California;and a host of extended family and friends.She will truly be missed.
